This is simply a hidden jewel in OKC. The restaurant is styled like the old 70s roadside bbq stands and it screams nostalgia. The food is good southern style bbq and you will get full whatever you order. Free piece of cake with every meal and it’s excellent too. Owners son and staff are extremely friendly and they’ll be coming by your table if they’re not too busy. I can’t say enough good about the food and the place itself. Try these folks and you’ll be glad you did.
MoreGreat Food, Great Pricing and friendly staff. 10/10
Was amazing! And reasonably priced, got the Leo's special feed three of us. Smoked bologna was so good reminded me of when I was young fried bologna sandwich with cheese and mustard. Definitely going back.
MoreI grew up eating leos. Over the years I've noticed the best time to go dine is with the lunch crowd. Great combos that come with the infamous strawberry banana cake. Love the BBQ & ribs. Not a fan of the greens they taste canned. Baked beans & potato salad your best bet.
MoreThe food is amazing. I got the ribs sandwich and the smell had my stomach growling on the drive home. The meat was fall off the bone and melt in your mouth tender. I got the mild sauce as well and it was amazing. My only disappointment was buying only one slice of cake. It’s so good, even if you feel full get a slice for later!
MoreSaw it on Diner's and Dives and it didn't disappoint. The building is a dive and sits on the corner of industrial area. Due to COVID-19 only the drive thru was open. The portion was large enough for two and since we didn't want to eat in our car, we drove to Capitol. A nice bench picnic with viewFriendly service and great sandwich. I would stop in again if my travels bring me thru Oklahoma city.
MoreAmazing little barbecue restaurant. my wife and I enjoyed a late lunch here after a trip to the zoo. This was in fact our first time eating BBQ in Oklahoma. It was wayy better than just OK 🤓 it was amazing! Charles stopped by to say hello and make sure we were well taken care of! I love it! We will be back!
MoreDelicious as always, this is an Oklahoma staple! Be ready you will smell like BBQ the rest of the day. Pit style BBQ with a great crust on the ribs. Don't skip out on the strawberry banana cake.
MoreGreat meal. I will be back. Lots of food for your lunch, & or dinner. The staff was great very helpful and very friendly.. The staff made me feel like they were friends. Can't wait to go back.
MoreI would like to recommend this restaurant for those of you who would like to have a transcendent BBQ experience. I was passing through OKC, and was blessed by the opportunity to indulge in this amazing food.My experience was hands down amazing. I was enjoying BBQ bacon right of the bone. I would go as far as calling it "soul food", because it most definitely satisfied me at a deeper level other than hunger.I hope that you will have a similar experience.
MoreAmazing. Customer service and barbeque at its best. The server was fantastic and friendly. The food was excellent. I wanted to steal a bottle of the sauce. The owner came out and chatted. Leo has been making BBQ here for 43 years. He was also talking to two other tables, one who said they've been coming for 35 years, and the other had been "a million times". I was a little concerned about the hole in the wall look, but any concern was gone as soon as I walked in and smelled that wonderful BBQ. The price was a little higher than expected, but so worth it. I can't wait to see return!
MoreFor being the "best" in Oklahoma City I was disappointed. The brisket was shredded and dry, the sides we're not very good. BBQ sauce was very sweet. Nothing special really. Pork on a Fork in Phoenix tops this place any day. Nice people working but that didn't make up for quality of food.
MoreSeen this place on Triple D and stopped to try it. Brisket and ribs was very good and the sweet bbq sauce was just right. The whole family loved the banana strawberry cake the best!! Next time in OKC, we will come back by!!
MoreKickass BBQ from fittingly unpretentious digs. We got it to go, and brought it back to our hotel room.
MoreI first ate at Leo's about 10 years ago. It created such a good food memory, that I now measure all BBQ against Leo's and I've never since found a place that beats their BBQ. I can't reccomend them enough. When you're visiting "The City" make sure you wear your eatin' pants and head on down to Leo's!
MoreIt wasn't what I expected, was driving through on our way home, heard about this place so we decided to try it. Pricey, my beef was tough and had a lot of fat, hot links where whole not sliced, potato salad was lumpy and dry, and the sauce was watery. The only thing I enjoyed was the cake and bologna.
MoreGot takeout here and my hotel room smelled like a smokehouse. I call that a sign of good BBQ. Will visit again on my next trip to OKC.
MoreThe wife found this one Sunoco gas station but they've been here 42 years. Cleo has passed on but his son is carrying the torch and he's doing a fine job. We were looking for some good ribs and we found them. They were two sauces one of those sweet and great which is up which I like and a hot one which I tried and liked but it was a little hot for me today. Coleslaw was good the macaroni was macaroni I get from BBQ joints and the beans were really good. We also got to try the famous banana strawberry cake that was good. Highly recommended.
MoreService was mixed: our main server was nice but another one that was helping her seemed put out. Food was okay too; got a brisket sandwich. Brisket tasted good, but wasn't the tenderest I've ever had. Fried okra was good but nothing to get excited about either. All in all, not a bad choice for BBQ, but I wouldn't drive across town for it.
MoreSome of the best BBQ I’ve had in Oklahoma. Can’t beat the atmosphere either. Smells great as soon as you step in the door. A+ service that you’ll be hard pressed to find anywhere else.
MoreGreat food, but the atmosphere is the cherry on top. You won’t regret coming here. My mom just said “leave a review that says they even have good toothpicks”
MoreDelicious hole in the wall. Rib off the bone. Sausage has just the right amount of crispy skin and a nice kick to it. Go for the Super Leo combo in a party of 1-3. And save room for the banana cake. Thanks Ms Shawnda!
MoreLow quality food. Poor selection. Overpriced. Fatty ribs. Doesn't offer pork! Low selection of sides. And the macaroni salad is not good. BBQ Sauce has cinnamon or all-spice in it, very disappointed. I love BBQ but be back. Our server was nice tho.
MoreThe employees were friendly; Shonda was on point serving every table, including, refills; the Cashier greeted us as we came in, and as we left. Leo was very friendly, walked around talking to people, and greeting us. The food was great. I'm not sure if they do this all the time, but they served everybody a slice of cake with strawberries.....great ending to a great meal.
MoreAbsolute must stop in Oklahoma City! I have had ribs in 13 states and these just might be the best! smoked to perfection, and falls right off the bone. The sauce is absolute killer too! If i lived closer I would be at risk to gain a lot of weight.....
MoreI moved to Oklahoma in August 2019. I had yet to find a bbq restaurant here that I really liked. My son and his girlfriend drove here From California for a visit and they asked if I have tried Leo’s because they saw it on DDD. We decided to make the two hour trip up to OKC to try it. I must say, this place is the best! Great customer service; so friendly and nice. I had the ribs and brisket platter with the potato salad and beans, along with a slice of their famous strawberry banana cake. It was AMAZING! I’ll definitely be making the drive again and recommend this place to everyone! Thanks Leo’s!
MoreI saw this restaurant on the Triple D and it is every bit as good as they say! It's a must stop by in Oklahoma City. The staff was very friendly and quick. They were the best ribs I've ever had! They were tasty and tender. I only wish I could have gotten two orders of it. To top it off the slice of cake just the cherry on top to this meal. Highly recommend.
MoreThe food was great! I'd go back again!
Wanted some ribs while visiting okc with my dad and this place showed up first. Loved how much seasoning was on the fries and ribs were so juicy. I didn’t even order it but the lady added a slice of bread (banana bread?) and I haven’t tried it yet but I thought it was so cute and it smells real nice! Would come again
MoreI love this place. I took my family here three years after visiting it the last time I passed through OKC. All trip we talked about how great the bbq was here. The meat has such deep flavor. The sides are delicious and the ribs are incredible. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. This time I had the pleasure of meeting Leo's son. He was so friendly and truly cares what people have to say about the food served in his restaurant. This place is a must. I would add OKC to every road trip just so I could eat here again.
MoreAmazing flavor and the sauce has the perfect balance of vinegar and heat. I was able to eat the mild sauce & the salad of cucumber tomatoes and onions without having an allergic reaction. You must eat at Leo's.
MoreI love the BBQ. It is the the best in town? It is good to eat. This place is my favorite.
MoreWe got the ribs and hot links and after traveling 150 miles the food was warm and my son's had to eat the hot links before getting the food to the house. The BBQ sauce is off the chain. Thank you for calling me back to make sure I ordered the correct food choice.
MoreMy family and I visited because we had heard about the bbq being top notch. We certainly weren’t disappointed! I can’t wait to eat another meal there and stuff myself all over again!
MoreThese are probably the best BBQ you can get in OKC. Do yourself a favor and get Leo’s platter because it comes with a little bit of everything. Ribs, sausage, brisket, fries and macaroni salad. Also it comes with their strawberry cake. Don’t let the exterior for you!
MoreService was amazing 😉. Food was so good I need a nap. My 11 year old loved the food😍. Great family place. Also very fast with food and bar was great as well.
MoreLeo’s is always good! They messed up my online order. I drove back and informed them . They were very fair, taking care of me. Thanks Leo’s!
MoreAs a former military man I have been all over the world and even eaten at Michelin star restaurants. This bbq ranks in the top 5% of places I have traveled to. It's no frills, no drama, hole in the wall, best bbq in the Metro.
MoreBest bar b que in town
Leo has been serving my family my whole life and I'm 50yrs. The best Bbq ever
All I can say is outstanding. The ribs were fall off the bone tasty. A good amount of food for the price with a dessert. Drinks are served in a big cup so you're not dying of thirst waiting on a refill. Family-owned with great customer service. Also very little wait time which is always nice during lunch time. I'll be a returning customer.
MoreLeo's is a very good funky dive BBQ place. That is why it was featured on Diner's, Drive-ins, and Dives. It's a converted corner gas station, so parking can sometimes be a challenge. It's small, so inside seating is very limited. Everything is smoked. No grills, flat tops, or ovens. Just large smokers. And that great smoke aroma greets you the instant you're inside the door. I Recommend one of the sampler plates and you have to try the baked beans. Outstanding. We'll be back for sure.
MoreI have been eating at Leos since I was a child.. The only thing I craved when I was pregnant 21 years ago was Leos BBQ chopped brisket and beans. Charles would take care of me daily. When leo was alive I would visit him at his Western and 36th location. Still love this place! Red is hot white is not!
MoreDriving cross country and our first stop when we got to Oklahoma is Leo’s. The BBQ and the “cake” is great but not just the food, the staff are awesome, they made us feel at home..I definitely recommend stopping by at Leo’s if you’re in town or just passing by.
MoreDefinitely one of those, don't judge a book by its cover, places. The food is absolutely amazing. We had the Leo's Special which was a bit of everything. So glad we stopped here!
MoreGood food and friendly environment.
